Paint Us a Picture – this horse’s name says it all

IT looked like it belonged more in the circus than the mounting yard at Rockhampton’s Callaghan Park today.

A tiny, unfashionable-looking, unraced prospect uniquely coloured white, brown and grey.

The colt (pictured) is aptly named Paint Us a Picture.

And you know what they say about judging a book by its cover – or should that be picture?

The two-year-old (Profile in Style x Coldstream Candy) comfortably won a trial over 970m in 59.35 seconds.

It wasn’t the fastest juvenile trial of the day but it may have been the most talked about by those laying eyes on the John Pointon-trained galloper for the first time.

Paint Us a Picture’s only other trial was at Yeppoon on September 10.

Stay tuned!
